Hike at the White Tank

Here is one of me and Kenz, of course she wasn't looking at the camera.

This is one of Kenz being very happy because her daddy carried her when she said, "Daddy, my feet are just too tired to walk anymore."
This is one of the kids just being cute and lounging on the rocks.
Here is one of my hot hubby and our little munchkins right before the end of the trail.
Kenz staring intently at the flower I told her not to pick. For those of you who have wondered what her new behind the ear processor looked like, well there it is, I think you can enlarge the pict and see it better.
My little monkey in the tree.

Here are a few random picts from our hike today in the White Tanks, it was such a nice day. The weather was perfect, the kids were almost perfect, and we got to spend some nice quality time together. I think the kids favorite part was after the hike when they could run around and climb trees. They also liked stopping at the visitors trailer place where they could see the tanks with various live desert reptiles. Skyler liked the scorpion, I liked the baby turtle, Jeremy liked the rattlesnakes, and Kenz liked the Gila Monster. It was a great day! If you live close to the White Tanks, I highly recommend an outing, it was gorgeous, there was even water at the end of the waterfall trail, that was only because it rained yesterday though.

MaKenzie Lost Two Teeth Today!

MaKenzie has had two Very loose teeth since her implant surgery in December, I don't know if it is coincidence or if the hospital knocked those two teeth loose with the intubation tube during her surgery. Anyways they are now under my pillow. After a million and one questions about the Tooth Fairy, she told me that the Tooth Fairy made her "nervous and afraid." I put her to bed at her usual time 6:30 pm, (I know I am lucky.) She had me come back to her room 4 different times. She would say, " Mom we need to talk a little bit more about the Tooth Fairy." Then the 2nd time I went in she asked me if she could put her tooth on the dresser because (her exact words were "The Tooth Fairy might touch my face and I think that might not be a good thing." Finally the final time I went in there she asked me to take her tooth to my room and to be sure the tooth fairy does not fly in and see her sleeping. Hopefully by her next tooth she will be more comfortable with the tooth fairy. When Skyler lost his first tooth last year, he didn't get the courage to put it under his pillow for three days, he was scared to death of a fairy lurking around his room while he slept. Is anyone elses children scared of the good ol' Tooth Fairy????? I mean if you think about it, it really does sound a little on the freaky side, am I right????

My Little Skyler Buddy!

So SKyler was sick with a nasty cold today, so I called in to work and spent the day with him. First we drove Kenzie to school and then we stopped by Frys on the way home for a few of his favorite "sick snacks" (chicken noodle soup, yams, spaghettios, and chocolate milk,)wierd combination , but he was happy! Then we came home and just talked for a while and then I thought I would let him rest while I cleaned our horribly messy garage. He was so cute wanting to come out and help me, but of course I made him stay inside and lay down so we won't miss two days of school/work. It took me two hours to clean the beastly garage, but I am so happy I got it done, I even vaccumed it out! By the time the garage was done I had to get cleaned up so we could drive all the way back to Kenzie's school to pick her up. We got there a little early, so we just listened to music and rocked out in the car. I miss my little boy. It was so nice getting to spend so much time together today, most of it was in the car driving back and forth to Kenzie's school, but it was so nice to just visit with my little boy, he is growing up way too fast. He is such a good little boy and so thoughtful. To all my blogger friends who have little kiddos, enjoy them, before you know it they are in school and you only get a few hours a day! Hold them close and enjoy the first five years. I love you Sky Guy!

Happy 5th Birthday MaKenzie

Well, five years ago today, my sweet little girl MaKenzie Nicole Devey was born. She has been such a blesing in our lives. I thank God everyday for this special little girl. I have never met another child with so much determination and strength. That strong determination makes me want to pull my hair out at times, but it has helped her achieve many things that others thought were not possible for her. She makes me laugh constantly and she really is so much fun! I want her to look back at this one day and know how much her mama loved her. She is the best! I love you MaKenzie, Happy Birthday!!!!

My sister

So this weekend I drove out to Queen Creek to surprise my sister and watch her run in the annual London's Run. It is a fundraiser that benefits children with cancer. She ran it with her hubby and friend. Next year I hope to run it too! Anyways, here is a picture of the two of us, I am so proud of her! I love you Nicky!
