We had a nice Easter. We celebrated at Grandma Devey's on Saturday night, we had a little egg hunt for the kids and as always, delicious food from our wonderful Grandma! The kids had fun finding eggs, and eating candy. On Sunday at 1:38 am I had to go take Skyler's Easter basket away and make him go back to bed. The kids loved their candy and toys left by the big bunny himself. I made a yummy breakfast and then we headed off to church. Jeremy spoke in Sacrament meeting, he gave a wonderful talk. After church, we came home to find Easter grass all over the house. We shut the kids doors before we left, but Skyler's door does not latch, so our wonderful dog Annie decide to eat every last piece of his mountain of candy, i take that back, there was a single Whopper hidden amongst the debris. He was so sad, luckily our lifesaver Grandma Devey had left over candy so I swung by their house and brought some back home to Skyler. Jeremy was not feeling well after church, but by bedtime he was able to get up and he wanted to make the steak and shrimp we bought, so I put it on the skewers and he grilled it, unfortunately our meal did not cook right for some reason and so we just tried to eat it and ended up laughing about the whole thing and ended up ditching the meat and eating the yams. It ended up being a bit of a stressful day with Jeremy being sick and the dog/candy drama, but we just had to tell ourselves and our children that none of that stuff really mattered, what really mattered was that it was the day of remembering our Savior and his Resurrection. All the rest is just fun stuff that doesn't really matter in the long run. I promised Skyler he would look back on this Easter and laugh one day. Thank goodness they had a blast at Grandma's last night.

For anyone interested, Fisher-Price is giving away a free DVD. I think it is to introduce their new Precious Places line. It is on backorder now and will take 12-14 weeks to get one, but hey...it's free!

*FAMILY TIME GALORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh and just so I always remember when I read my blog book, cousin Alex almost started a fire with a candle and a napkin at a fancy wedding reception, it was a close one, hehehe. Oh and another one, one of the grandkids spun around in the computer chair and puked all over Cassie F. while she and Aunt Melissa were babysitting for us while we were at the wedding reception, good times, good times. We had such a wonderful time, I am so sad thinking about the kids going back to school tomorrow and me going back to work, we had such a nice time staying up later than usual and just having fun. I am also so sad that Dru and her family went back to Utah this morning and all the other family members left too, I know times like these when we all get together are times our kiddos will NEVER FORGET!! Oh and just so I always remember when I read my blog book, cousin Alex almost started a fire with a candle and a napkin at a fancy wedding reception, it was a close one, he, he, he, oh and another one of the grandkids spun around in the computer chair and puked all over Cassie F. while she and Aunt Melissa were babysitting for us while we were at the wedding reception, good times, good times.
