Till We Meet Again Granny...

Kids with Granny
Jeremy and his Granny
Friday night on Kenzie's birthday we got the news that our beloved Granny passed away. Eloise Thompson was an amazing lady who lived her life in the service of others, she worked at the temple for years, she always had time for anyone who needed a listening ear. She has had a rough few years with her health deteriorating and a lot of aches, pains, and anxieties. She has been wanting to go for quite some time so she could reunite with her husband. I was so worried that Kenzie would overhear us talking about her passing and discover that she died on her birthday and make her pretty sad. She obviously over heard us because that night as she was saying her prayers, she prayed that "grandma Priscilla and her brothers and sisters would be comforted and rejoice because granny was with papa and Jesus." Such a sweet strong spirit she has, she was a little teary about it, but knowing that granny wasn't suffering anymore brought great peace. Skyler felt bad that he didn't spend more time with granny at Christmas when we were in Yuma, but she knew he loved her. I have to say that thinking about the earth with granny no longer on it, is a sad thought. We will miss her so much, but feel so blessed to have had the opportunity to know her and love her. How blessed we are to have the gospel in our lives and to know that we will be with granny again when we finish our mission here on earth. We love you Granny...
